  • You're in a remote location where custom pre-terminated orders take 2+ weeks
  • Your budget is extremely tight on per-unit cost

What worked for us: for our main office (97 drops, known layout), we went pre-terminated Molex Cat6. For our satellite office (22 drops, frequent churn), we used field-terminated with a hybrid first-end pre-term.
